Artist Meticulously Cuts Delicate Leaves Into Playful Mini Storybook Scenes

Japanese artist Lito proves that you don’t need fancy tools to create amazing art. Using fallen leaves as his canvas, he intricately carves delicate designs, turning each leaf into a unique piece that tells its own story. Lito began creating his leaf art in 2020 as a way to manage his ADHD, and soon found that the practice helped him focus. He quickly made it part of his routine, sharing a new piece almost daily.

Japanese art collective teamLab recently transformed Izura, a rugged coastal region in Japan's Ibaraki Prefecture, into a mesmerizing landscape for art and nature lovers to explore. The immersive exhibition, titled Hidden Traces of Rice Terraces, illuminates the area’s concealed rice terraces and ancient forests, turning them into a vibrant spectacle of color and light. TeamLab's project, Digitized Nature, explores how digital technology and nature can merge to become art.

Giant ‘Crush Nazism’ Monument Outside Oslo Train Station Honors WWII Resistance Group

Outside Oslo's Eastern Railway Station (Østbanestasjonen) sits a glistening monument to Norway's most active World War II resistance group. The sculpture, created by Bjørn Melbye Gulliksen, was unveiled in 2015 and shows a shining hammer smashing a swastika.  Titled Knus nazismen (“Crush nazism”), the sculpture celebrates the efforts of the Osvald Group (Osvaldgruppen).
