Photo Contest Celebrates Excellence in Architectural Photography

The proper photography can make a piece of architecture pop by accentuating its design. In awknowledgement of this, the Architecture MasterPrize (AMP) recognizes excellence in the field of architectural photography with its Architecture Photography MasterPrize. Now in its fourth year, it complements the organization's awards for architectural design, product design, and the best architectural firms. Photographers Albrecht Voss and Franco Casaccia were named the overall winners for their exterior and interior photography, respectively.

Incredible Winners of the 2024 Wildlife Photographer of the Year Contest

A picture of an enormous swarm of tadpoles swimming below a lily pad has earned Shane Gross the title of Wildlife Photographer of the Year in the Natural History Museum's prestigious photo competition. The Canadian marine conservation photojournalist spent hours snorkeling in a lake on Vancouver Island to capture The Swarm of Life. His efforts paid off, as his image beat out a record-breaking 59,228 entries from 117 countries and territories to capture the title.

Incredible Sunburst Photos Win Underwater Photography Contest Highlighting Australasia Region

A photo competition celebrating the waters of Australia and New Zealand, as well as New Guinea and nearby islands, has just announced its winners. Photographer Gabriel Guzman was named “Best in Show” in the Underwater Awards Australasia 2024 for his exceptional underwater photography. Guzman uses a difficult technique called sunburst photography to capture aquatic life in a manner that is uniquely his own.

From the heart-wrenching reality of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and war in Ukraine to stunning scenes of animal conservation, the winners strike a wide balance of issues. Palestinian photographer Ali Jadallah saw his deeply moving image, Irreplacable, named Photo of the Year.
