Soul Out is a series of oil paintings by Berlin-based artist Deenesh Ghyczy that presents surreal portraits of people having an out-of-body experience. The intriguing scenes feature an abstraction of realism, blurring the the boundaries between reality and figments of one's imagination. With each figure lost in their own thoughts, Ghyczy explores individual moments of deep contemplation.
The figurative paintings are creatively executed, displaying each subject as a person with multiple physiques. One is their true physical form while the others are an extension of themselves, like their souls are escaping their bodies.
