Draping Necklace Chandelier Made of 800 Swarovski Crystals

The Gabriel Chandelier is a stunning 39-foot-tall chandelier designed by French brothers Erwan and Ronan Bouroullec that now permanently resides in the Palace of Versailles. The large-scale piece gives a luxurious life to the space and makes it seem as though the chateau itself is adorned in high-end jewelry. Crafted out of 800 Swarovski crystal modules threaded onto a metal frame, the half-ton lighting fixture drapes like a giant necklace.

When one thinks of Versailles, the words that most often come to mind are elegance and beauty, which is only further reinforced by the Bouroullec brothers' addition to the opulent palace. Installed in a large open room, the space helps highlight the simplicity of the piece while the chandelier adds a wonderful visual contrast between Versailles' classical elegance and the light's more contemporary beauty.
