Italian multimedia designer and art director Federico Mauro recently explored this defining fashion sense through a series of posters entitled Famous Eyeglasses.
The minimalist artwork features basic pairs of glasses and sunglasses worn by many stars across the decades, including Elton John, Elvis Presley, The Blues Brothers, Sofia Loren, and Malcolm X. Even on a plain background with no owner in site, viewers will find themselves quickly identifying each celebrity based solely on the iconic eyewear.
From colorful heart-shaped shades to pointy horn-rimmed spectacles, the notable objects illustrate a wide variety of dispositions and personal preferences.
