Picturesque Tree House Getaway in Italy Located in a Field of Lavender

Standing in a scenic lavender field in Arlena di Castro, Italy is Suite Bleue, a picturesque tree house getaway that looks like something out of a childhood fantasy. The unique accommodation is situated eight meters (26 feet) above the ground and surrounded by nearly 30 acres of the beautiful purple plant. From July 25 to August 10 of each year, guests can witness its cutting and harvesting.

Suite Bleue was designed by tree house architects La Cabane Perche and is one part of the La Piantata hotel. Having this association gives guests access to its amenities and services–such as breakfast delivered to the room–and lets them enjoy the tranquil, secluded landscape at the same time.

Spending the night in a tree house doesn't mean that visitors have to sacrifice the luxury of a conventional room either. With 44 square meters (474 square feet) of space, the suite offers a cozy canopy bed, bathroom with a shower, refrigerated mini bar, as well as a terrace to sit and daydream on.
