Single Dad Surprises His 11-Year-Old Daughter by Creatively Asking Her to a Father-Daughter Dance

For an upcoming father-daughter dance, single dad Jason Garmon thought he'd do something special to surprise his 11-year-old daughter Skylar. While her brother Grayson covered her eyes, Garmon led his daughter to a setup featuring a table, two chairs, a pitcher of ice tea, and one heartwarming sign that read: “Will you go to the daddy-daughter dance with me?” After Skylar opened her eyes, her dad presented her with a bouquet of flowers and politely asked if she'd accompany him to the dance.

“Just because I'm her Dad doesn't mean I'm going to assume she'll go with me,” Garmon writes. “You ask out a lady like it's the first time every time. Always keep her guessing, always try to win her. I don't care if it's your daughter, your girlfriend or your wife, the day you stop trying is the day you'll lose her. I had always planned on doing something like this for a woman but I realized the most important female that deserves my attention is already right here beside me.”

Based on Skylar's reaction, we have a feeling that Garmon will never lose his daughter's love. “P.S. She said YES,” he reveals, giving this beautiful story a happy ending.
