As this powerful video begins, a crowd of people curiously watch as two skeletons hug, kiss, and dance behind a giant x-ray screen. The pair then steps from behind the divider to reveal an affectionate, loving relationship between two women. And they aren't the only ones, either. The video goes on to show many dancing skeletons that represent both romantic and platonic love among same sex couples, siblings, best friends, and those with different religions. It presents the message that we're all the same on the inside.
This heartwarming display was a collaboration between Ad Council, R/GA, and Helpsgood.com for the campagin called Love Has No Labels. It's a public service campaign that's intended to inform people and encourage them to address and confront their implicit biases regarding gender, race, ethnicity, disability, sexuality, age, and body size.
The video helps to start a conversation about this important issue that affects everyone. By showing how love exists in many, many different ways, it implores us to educate and watch ourselves when biases surface. Having them influences how we treat and interact with people, and becoming aware of implicit biases can go a long way in helping to end them.
