Multidirectional Face Illusions


Using his Samsung L100 digital camera and Photoshop, Venezuela-based student Jess Gonzlez Rodrguez mixed layers to create some of the trippiest face illusions we've seen in a very long time. In fact, not since Ulric Colette's Genetic Portraits have we been this taken aback by photo manipulated faces.

Simply titled 1/2, the photos ask you to look both straight on and to the side (or for the last picture – top down). By using a blank white wall for the background and by cutting his subjects down in just the right shape, Rodrguez makes us (almost) believe in magic…
