American photographer Gregory Crewdson creates haunting moments frozen in time. Set in nondescript suburban America, his photos explore the disturbing drama that exists in everyday life. His elaborately staged sets bring to mind the world of film. It's no wonder as Crewdson cites The Twilight Zone, Stephen Spielberg's Close Encounters of the Third Kind, David Lynch's Blue Velvet, and Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo as some of his sources of inspiration.
Gregory Crewdson is an internationally exhibited artist. He is on the faculty of the Department of Photography at Yale University and lives in New York City. Gregory Crewdson
