Gorgeous Paintings Meticulously Crafted with a Cat Hair Paintbrush

Olena Skytsiuk is a Ukrainian artist who paints gorgeous folk-inspired works with an unusual brush. A special handmade tool is created with cat's hair that's then used to produce artworks that consist of thousands of small strokes. The meticulous nature of these paintings result in lusciously-colored nature scenes and decorative floral arrangements that seamlessly flow throughout the composition. We're delighted by the detailing in each of Skytsiuk's works, like the designs on a bird's wings or her exquisite mixture of blooms and berries.

Skytsiuk's unique approach originated from a small Ukrainian Petrykivka village. She's carried on the tradition, and her work is well regarded; the artist is a member of the National Masters of Folk Art Union of Ukraine, and she's considered a Specialist in her field. Not surprisingly, you can find her paintings in both international exhibitions as well as private collections all over the world.
