Heroic Dentist Saves Bald Eagle Suffering from Gunshot Wound

The residents of Tofino, British Columbia have demonstrated that a little bit of optimism can go a long way. One afternoon, locals heard a booming gunshot and nearby witnesses saw a truck driving away from the scene. When they went to investigate, they realized that a bald eagle had been shot and was missing a majority of his beak.

So Paulo, Brazil-based illustrator Thiago Bianchini pays tribute to the beauty of nature in his striking drawings of wildlife and landscapes framed within larger animal silhouettes. Using fine-tipped ink pens, Bianchini brings flora and fauna to life through intricate drawing and shading techniques like stippling. Pitch-black trees, grass, and four-legged creatures contrast sharply with craggy mountains and inky skies formed of thousands of tiny dots.

Outdoor Rocking Chair Lets Multiple People Gently Sway Together in Nature

Brothers Jules and Jason Henry are the creative minds behind Sveglio, an outdoor furniture design company that produces beautiful pieces meant to “awaken higher consciousness.” One of their enlightening creations, called Volo (Italian for “I fly”), is a rocking chair with a hammock-like basket attached to the legs. On it, Sveglio wants you to “rock, rejuvenate, and re-discover yourself” as you gently sway back and forth, remembering that life is in constant motion.
