The Incredible Story Behind the Epic Lava Kiss

Not since that romantic Vancouver riot's smooch, taken over a year ago, have we seen a kissing photo spread, so quickly, around the web. Honolulu, Hawaii-based Dallas Nagata White is the photographer behind the Lava Kiss, a gorgeous photo taken in front of the Kilauea lava flow in Hawaii. Not only was it raining, real lava was actually flowing in the background!

Beautifully Designed Solar Trees

Designed by Welsh designer Ross Lovegrove and manufactured by Artemide, Solar Tree is an urban lighting system created as a part of Clerkenwell Design Week 2012. This futuristic design uses panels and LED lighting units to provide environmentally friendly illumination powered by solar energy. Much of Lovegrove's work is inspired by nature, and he says his work possesses “a trinity between technology, materials science, and intelligent organic form.
