Whimsy Meets Mortality in Fantastical Paintings of Skeletons With Butterfly Wings

Artist Sandra Yagi has always loved science, developing a unique interest in anatomy and the human skeleton. But rather than turning it into a dark source of inspiration, Yagi has found it a vehicle for whimsy and fantasy. Her show titled The Faerie Realm at San Francisco's Modern Eden Gallery compiles her playful paintings starring a skeleton who engages in nature with a wide array of colorful creatures.

London Museum Receives Incredible Donation of Over 14,000 Roman Artifacts

When the new London Museum opens its doors in 2026, it will be home to more than 14,000 Roman artifacts. This is thanks to Bloomberg, who decided to donate the haul found during the construction of its European headquarters. This exciting donation also includes £20 million (about $26.1 million) in funding to help transform a former Victorian-era meat market into a space that will help the story of London.

New JR Exhibition Pairs Lithographs of Iconic Installations With Audio Testimonies

There’s no guarantee that a photograph or print will capture the magnitude of a three-dimensional artwork, but JR: Through My Window is a happy exception. Now open at Underdogs Gallery in Lisbon, the exhibition showcases 36 lithographs of the French artist’s site-specific projects, ranging from optical illusions staged in Egypt to an ambitious takeover of New York’s Times Square.
