A study recently published in the journal PNAS catalogs this innovative technique, which involves laser-stimulated fluorescence (LSF). Unlike ultraviolet (UV) light, LSF reveals carbon-based black tattoo ink with remarkable clarity, producing images based on the sample’s fluorescence.
