2023 Minimalist Photography Awards Celebrate the Beauty of Simplicity

There is something about minimalism, when executed correctly, that is soothing. By stripping away unnecessary details, creators who work with a minimalist aesthetic bring a balance and harmony to their work that makes them pleasurable to view. And this is what the Minimalist Photography Awards celebrates. Organized by B&W Minimalist Magazine, the awards are a showcase for global photography talent. This year's contest, which drew photographers from 31 countries, saw over 3,100 entries.

Woman Uses Hidden Cameras To Get Candid Look at Birds in Her Backyard

For years we've been following Lisa, aka Ostdrossel, as she documents the incredible feathered friends who frequent her backyard. The German bird lover, who is based in Michigan, uses several backyard cameras that allow her to get a candid look at the birds. Luckily, she's more than happy to share the results, which show all of the birds and critters that eat and drink in her backyard.

Robert Irwin Rescues a Snake Trapped Inside a Vending Machine

From helping a bird with anger management issues to capturing different animals in spectacular photos, his love of nature and wildlife seems to have no bounds. While he's experienced many unique situations working at the Australia Zoo, he recently had a first-ever animal rescue.
