Neighborhood Crows Land on This Woman’s Head Every Single Day

Friends can come from the most unlikely of places, arriving in our lives in ways we’d never expect. That’s what happened to Joni Kamlet, who has formed an unexpected friendship with the crows in her San Francisco neighborhood. Every day, Kamlet walks 3 to 4 miles through her neighborhood. On one of those walks, she saw a neighbor having a funny interaction with the crows he was feeding—one landed right on his head.

Artist Lucy Sparrow Opens a “Supermarket” in a Museum With 20,000 Hand-Felted Grocery Items

British artist Lucy Sparrow has built entire shops out of felt for more than a decade. Now, she brings her largest project yet to The Momentary in Bentonville, Arkansas, with The Beginning of Convenience, her first U.S. museum exhibition. The immersive installation recreates a nostalgic supermarket with thousands of handmade felt objects inspired by American retailers. Sparrow has made a name for herself by transforming empty retail spaces into fully felted worlds.

70 Artists Transform Multiple Rooms at a Former LA Hospital Into a Celebration of Human Emotion

Hospitals are often seen as cold, clinical places, but in reality, they’re filled with moments of joy, fear, hope, grief, and love. Hospital of Emotions, a large-scale, site-specific exhibition at the historic St. Vincent Medical Center in Los Angeles, completely reimagines what a hospital can be. Seventy artists and designers were invited to each transform a room in the formal medical campus.

Artist Transforms Burned Cars From the LA Fires Into Stained Glass Sculptures

While the LA fires in January 2025 reduced tens of thousands of homes to ash, they also left around 6,000 burned-out cars rusting in driveways across the city. Most were eventually towed away and recycled as scrap, but stained glass artist Ben Tuna (of Glass Cowboy Studio) saw something worth saving. He rescued some of of the charred vehicles and transformed them into works of art.
