Designers Reimagine a Traditional Movie Theater as a Vibrant Oasis in Vietnam

Visiting Ho Chi Minh City’s Beta Cinema by Module K is a bit different than a traditional movie theatre. Designed to celebrate the beauty of old Saigon, this cinema is finished with bold colors and forms to reimagine typically dark aesthetics found in older cinemas. The architects explain that the fresh color palette–which includes flamingo pink, sea green, and bright orange—and the geometric detailing is inspired by the vintage glamour of Art Deco architecture.

This Adorable Shiba Inu Spent Years “Working” as a Shop Assistant at a Tobacco Shop in Tokyo

The Suzuki Tobacco Shop in Tokyo, Japan, was popular for more than just its snack and cigarette selection. People from around the world visited the tiny store in the hopes of meeting its super-cute clerk. This was no ordinary shopboy though—the kiosk was co-run by an adorable Shiba Inu. The diligent dog, named Shiba-san, is known for sliding open the shop window to greet customers with a doggy smile.

Stunning Oil Paintings Capture Beautiful Landscapes From Countries Around the World

Atlanta-based artist Courtney Myers continues to travel the world through her oil paintings. Since completing her depiction of the lush Isle of Skye in Scotland in January 2021, she has “visited” four other unique countries and captured some of their iconic landscape on canvas. “Landscapes have been my passion over the past couple of years and painting landscapes from different countries seemed very interesting to me,” Myers explains to My Modern Met.
