Shenzhen’s New Natural History Museum Mimics the Flow of the Nearby River

Shenzhen is quickly transforming into the “Silicon Valley” of southeastern China. With the emergence of hardware innovation and imitation tech production (called Shanzhai), it suggests a shifting identity for the city. As a result, cultural centers are popping up across the region to meet a new age of cultural and civic pride. The latest addition to the city’s collection is Delta: the soon to be built Shenzhen Natural History Museum.

Iconic DeLorean Gets a Modern Reimagining for the Next Generation of Car Lovers

Almost anyone could identify a DeLorean, whether they're a big car person or not. The iconic sports car became ingrained in pop culture when Doc Brown and Marty McFly used a DeLorean DMC 12 to travel back in time in the 1985 film Back to the Future. The car was originally designed by Georgetto Giugiaro and manufactured for release in the U.S. from 1981 to 1983.

Sculptor Explores What Lurks Beneath the Water in Spine-Chilling Ocean Dioramas

Are you afraid of what lies in the depths of the ocean? If so, you aren’t alone; thalassophobia is the fear of deep bodies of water, and many people have it. Considering some of the alien-like fish that can be found there, it's a perfectly understandable phobia. Japanese artist Thalasso Hobbyer captures the essence of this fear—particularly, what can be so terrifying—in his ongoing series of sculptures that depict creatures in the ocean.
