Getty Villa Is Finally Reopening After the Devastating Los Angeles Wildfires

When California's devastating wildfires swept through the Los Angeles area in January, the Getty Villa survived a close call. While the museum's grounds caught fire, the structure remained intact. However, due to smoke damage and safety concerns, the Pacific Palisades museum, which houses a world-class collection of antiquities, has remained closed. Luckily, that is about to change, with the museum announcing its reopening scheduled for June 27.

Ethereal “Ghost” Furniture Merge Design and Technology

Dutch studio DRIFT is known for pushing design boundaries and has been doing so for over a decade, exemplified by 2011's Ghost Collection. This experimental furniture collection, consisting of eight table chairs, two armchairs, and a stool, used 3D technology to create the ethereal designs. The finished pieces appear to have wisps of smoke encased in clear acrylic, adding to their ghostly appearance.

Stunning Prints of Nepalese Honey Hunters Support WWF For World Bee Day

Nearly 90% of our world’s wild flowering plant species depend entirely, or in part, on animal pollination, but close to 35% of invertebrate pollinators face extinction globally. In celebration of World Bee Day on May 20, British photographer Andrew Newey will be selling prints from his acclaimed Honey Hunters of Nepal series, with all proceeds going directly to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF).
