Powerful Portraits of Prestigious Members of The Explorers Club [Interview]

For the past decade, photographer Felix Kunze stepped inside the prestigious world of The Explorers Club to document its accomplished members. The multidisciplinary club, formed in 1904, celebrates field research in all its forms and counts astronauts, archeologists, and intrepid adventurers among its members. After photographing an event with the club, Kunze asked permission to set up a small studio at their annual dinner, and the rest was history.

Photographer Captures Adorable Portraits of Over 150 Baby Animals

For nearly 20 years, Joel Sartore has been on a mission to photograph every animal species living in a zoo, aquarium, or wildlife sanctuary. It's all part of Photo Ark, which has a mission to bring attention to at-risk species. In a new book, Sartore focuses his attention on the many baby animals he's photographed along the way. Photo Ark Babies, published by National Geographic Press, showcases over 150 youngsters from across the animal kingdom.

Blind Former Race Car Driver Finally Drives Again After Losing His Sight Decades Ago

In the late 1990s, Roberto “Kaki” Rivas had a promising career in the world of racing. Having taken the first place at the TC Pista series on his freshman season, he made it to the highest category of Argentine motor racing, the Turismo Carretera, the following year. Sadly, he was shot when he was 24 years old, resulting in him becoming blind and not being able to drive anymore.
