Street Artist Creates 80-Foot-Tall Sculpture for Valencia’s Fallas Festival

Each March, Spain has a traditional festival in Valencia, dating back thousands of years, called Fallas. Held in commemoration of St. Joseph, neighborhoods across the city spend the year creating a giant puppet called a falla. And this year, Spanish street artist Okuda San Miguel joined the festivities, creating an 82-foot-high falla named Equilibri Universal. For such a traditional event, the invitation of a street artist was revolutionary.

Giant Angel Formed With Over 100,000 Knives Confiscated by Police

Sculptor Alfie Bradley works with improbable materials to create incredible works of art. And with his sculpture Knife Angel, he also used his work to send a strong social message about the dangers of knife violence. Formed from over 100,000 knives turned over to 43 police stations around the UK during confiscations and amnesties, the powerful, 27-foot-tall sculpture is a reminder of how many lives could be saved if people put down their weapons.

8 Mind-Bending Optical Illusions Explained

Lilac Chaser Illusion Stare at the center black cross for about 10 seconds. What do you see? At first, a gap appears in between each lilac disk for a few seconds. Then, in its place, a blurred green disk appears to be “chasing” the violet dots, moving in a clockwise direction. And if you look long enough, the lilac disks will disappear altogether, and you'll just see a green disk moving in a circle.
