Camera Calculator App "PhotoMath" Instantly Solves Math Equations

Having a smartphone instantly gives you a ton of options for calculators, although none of them are actually going to solve your math query – it's up to you to figure it out. But now, thanks to PhotoMath, you'll receive some help. The newly-launched app is the world's first “camera calculator,” and it's easy to use. Just point your smartphone's camera towards a mathematical expression and PhotoMath will automatically display the correct result. Better yet, it demonstrates the step-by-step process of how to solve the problem.

Currently, this app supports arithmetic, fractions, powers and roots, and simple linear equations; the creators plan on adding more features in the future. PhotoMath is a free download and available for iOS and Windows Phones. Don't worry Android users, because there's a version for you due in early 2015.
