These White Converse Sneakers Magically Change Color When Exposed to Sunlight

If you’ve ever struggled to choose between classic white sneakers and colorful kicks, you can have two in one with the new Converse x Chinatown Market collaboration. The exciting footwear collection updates the iconic Chuck 70 high top and low tops by integrating UV technology, allowing them to change color when exposed to sunlight.

The limited edition footwear initially appears like classic kicks, featuring white canvas uppers, white rubber toe caps, and matching rubber soles. However, once you step outside into the sun, the shoes transform to display a rainbow of striped colors, including orange, blue, and pink—even the rubber soles change from white to prismatic hues. However, if your sneakers are exposed to UV light for more than 8 hours, the inks will no longer change color and can’t be reserved. Chinatown Market explains, “The final color will be unique for each pair of Converse x Chinatown Market shoes depending on the environmental conditions and U.V. light levels they are exposed to.”

The UV Converse collection is currently sold out, but keep an eye on the Chinatown Market website for stock updates.
