ZONA MACO, Mexico’s largest and longest-running art fair is back for its 22nd edition. Regarded as Latin America’s top art event of the year, ZONA MACO continues to assert its place as the ultimate meeting point for regional creatives and international audiences.

Running from February 4-8, 2026, ZONA MACO returns to the sprawling Centro Banamex on the western edge of Mexico City. This year, the fair will welcome 200 galleries from 27 countries across the Americas, Asia, and Europe. The fair carries on with its mission to spotlight important messages and a diverse range of creatives, both established and emerging. All participants were selected by an international committee made up of five gallery directors from across the continent.

The fair is made up of four areas—a layout that has served them well throughout the years. These areas are: the flagship MÉXICO ARTE CONTEMPORÁNEO, devoted to the latest in contemporary art from Latin America and beyond; DISEÑO, for all the artistic endeavors that fall in the realm of design; SALÓN DEL ANTICUARIO, offering a wide array of antiques for sale, from lockets to a vintage car; and FOTO, highlighting the work of some of the best photographers in the region.

MÉXICO ARTE CONTEMPORÁNEO also features the mammoth general section, plus the subsections SUR, devoted to art about and by artists from the global south; ARTE MODERNO, exploring the Latin American approach to Modern Art and 20th-century movements; and EJES for art touching on the subjects of migration, restricted mobility, and geopolitical tensions. Among the highlights of the 2026 edition is FORMA, a new initiative for projects that blend art, design, and collectible objects, showing the fair’s disposition to make room for new markets.

Rounding out the experience are EDITORIAL, a mini-fair within ZONA MACO featuring 30 publishing houses and print magazines specializing in art; and the TALK PROGRAM, featuring lectures by artists, curators, and collectors from around the world. Beyond the main venue, ZONA MACO ART WEEK takes over 65 museums and cultural institutions around Mexico City, such as Museo del Palacio de Bellas Artes, Museo de Arte Contemporáneo, and Museo Tamayo, with exhibits and talks adjacent to what is being showcased at the main venue.

To get tickets to the event, which runs February 4-8, and stay up to date with this thriving art fair, make sure to visit the ZONA MACO website and follow ZONA MACO on Instagram.
