Adam Taylor is a successful and talented photographer we have featured on My Modern Met before. Moving from beautiful contemplative landscapes to advertising photography, Taylor now finds himself shooting on the streets of New York City for an eye-opening series titled Street Kids.
“Their candidness is raw but courageous, their stories painting a heartbreaking picture of young people who are the fall-out of social and economic change,” he says. “They're looking for that feeling of family. That's why they congregate in the city every night. A lot of them have no where else to go.”
With these words in mind, the pictures take on a whole new meaning. While photography often creates stories, in Street Kids, we find that there are also powerful stories just waiting to be told.
