Husband Spends 6 Years Illustrating Why He Loves His Wife

Artist Andrew Hou uses his endearing illustrations to speak the language of love. For the past six years, the designer has been working on a series called HJ-Story, which is made up of his wife's Korean initials. Through this charming project, Hou has worked to convey his love for his wife by explaining exactly what love means to him. He uses two characters (who represent himself and his partner) and illustrates the little moments that have made this couple who they are today.

In creating this series, Hou reminds viewers that love can appear in many different shapes and forms, demonstrating that a relationship doesn't have to be exactly like it is in the movies. Most relationships are, in fact, made up of difficult moments that a couple overcomes together as they aspire to make their connection stronger. The little moments can essentially turn out to be the greatest, most meaningful memories.
