Bewildered Big Yellow Rabbit

How do you feel about this gargantuan sculpture? The Big Yellow Rabbit of rebro in Sweden has split the local community in half: those who love it and those who hate it. This piece of art was made for the annual OpenArt biennale by Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman, who coincidentally has a reputation for sensational works like the flip-flop monkey or the giant rubber duck.

Made entirely from wood and costing an estimated $20,000 to build, this big yellow rabbit has attracted hundreds of fans from far and wide. Though many love it, there are those who resent the fact that their historical center has been taken over by a 50 foot high, 30 foot long rabbit.

The festival has tons of other exhibits on display for those who wish to avoid this larger than life sculpture. OpenArt runs from now till September 11. If you're in Sweden, make sure to check it out.
