Feline-Friendly Furniture Gives Cats a Seat at the Table and Makes Them the Centerpiece

Those that share their home with a feline friend know that cats are curious creatures. They might act aloof, but most house cats want to be near us, even if it’s just to watch what we’re doing. With this in mind, Japanese retailer Dinos released a table designed for both humans and cats to sit together. The all-natural oak table features a perch underneath it, and a hole in the center of the tabletop.

Japan Designed Unique Kimonos for Every Country at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics

At each Olympics, we are reminded of the interesting and varied countries on our planet. So, as the host country of the 2020 Summer Olympics, Japan wanted to do something special to highlight the history and culture of each nation. That is why in 2017, the Japanese international outreach association Imagine Oneworld began the Kimono Project—an initiative with the goal of creating a unique kimono for every country in the world.

This 3D-Printed Table Lamp Is Made From Orange Peels and It’s Compostable

Milan-based startup Krill Design seeks to promote a circular economy through innovative design. Conducting extensive research and development, the company creates sustainable homewares by repurposing organic waste and transforming it into eco-design products. For one of their most recent projects—a 3D-printed table lamp—the creative design team decided to use a pretty unorthodox material: orange peels.
