Amazing Contest Highlights the World’s Best Storm Photography of the Year

Acclaimed storm photographer Mike Olbinski is passionate about his craft. And so he wanted to create a place for other storm photographers to show off their work and be rewarded at the same time. Thus, Storm Photos of the Year—affectionately known as The Stormys—was born. Now in its second year, the contest has just announced winners across three categories.

Beautiful Portraits Highlight What “Love” Means for People With Down Syndrome

Love knows no bounds, and photographer Hilary Gauld has captured this in a series featuring the relationships of people with Down syndrome. The photo project, titled Love Means, seeks to raise awareness and dispel the misconceptions of those with the genetic disorder. Gauld worked with the Canadian Down Syndrome Society (CDSS) and profiled nine different “love stories” about individuals who either have Down syndrome or are in a relationship with someone who does.

Winners of Wildlife Photography Competition Show the Power of Water

The WildArt Photographer of the Year competition—a contest created by wildlife photographers for wildlife photographers—has announced the winners of its first monthly contest of 2022. For the WET Competition, photographers were asked to submit their best photos incorporating wildlife and water. It's a concept that Canadian wildlife photographer Gail Bisson proposed and the results are astounding. Snow, ice, rain, and rivers are prominent throughout the winning and highly commended photographs.
