Believe it or not, there are some people who take their clothing to get laundered only to never pick it up. When that happens, one couple has an ingenious idea of what to do with the extra clothes. The man, named Wanji, and woman, named Xiu, are 83 and 84 years old, respectively, and they create stylish outfits based on what was left behind in their Taiwan laundromat.

Wanji and Xiu know how to dress and pose for fashion-forward photos. Wearing track jackets, belted skirts, and bucket hats, the couple shows that having a limited wardrobe doesn’t mean you have to be restricted in style. You just have to use your imagination! They pair pieces that are casual with items that are more formal to create effortlessly cool outfits.

The couple’s grandson created an Instagram account called @wantshowasyoung to highlight some of the mix-and-match styles. By showcasing his grandparents' sartorial choices, it is a reminder to us all that a garment might be “old” or obtained secondhand, but it can still be fashionable when styled right.

Elderly couple Wanji and Xiu create stylish remixed outfits based on the clothing left in their Taiwan laundry shop.
