Have you ever wondered what a piece of fruit would say if it could speak? Or what if your garden flowers had personalities? Athens-based artist Teo Zirinis (aka HandsOffMyDinosaur!) has created a series of funny illustrations personifying everyday items, revealing the hilarious conversations they might have if they came to life.
“More than often, I find inspiration in food and objects that surround us in our everyday lives,” Zirinis admits. “I wonder what it would be like if they had a voice of their own. What would they say and how would they interact with each other?” From a pair of salad bowls discussing “dressing up” to friendly aloe vera plants greeting each other, Zirinis shows there’s no bounds to his imagination. Even the most mundane objects have been transformed into charming characters—a pair of toilet paper rolls for example, comically believe they “become telescopes” after death, and a devious Uno card is illustrated relishing in its role of “ruining friendships.”
