Spectacular Three-Dimensional Dinner Table Portrait

Designing this incredible 3D portrait must have taken a lot of time, a great vision, and a little bit of delicious inspiration. Squint your eyes when looking at this table setting and you will see a fully detailed portrait of Danish chef Rene Redzepi. Open your eyes wide and you'll see that his gray streaks are made from silverware, his nose is actually just white space, and even one eyeball is formed from a glass of red wine.

Graphic studio Golpeavisa created this design for the August issue of Clase Premier magazine, a monthly bilingual publication distributed to first- and business-class passengers on domestic and international flights. The creative and meticulous process can be viewed in the video below. It looks like the designers had a great time during the evolution of the project. In a casual and friendly environment, they paid particular attention to the lighting details and the angles at which the food was presented to create this unexpected and abstract portrait.
