Meet Jill, the 7-year-old squirrel who was rescued from Hurricane Isaac back in 2012. During the Louisiana typhoon, she fell out of her nest, so her new owners took her in. It was only supposed to be a temporary solution, but Jill ended up staying—and made herself at home pretty quickly. Seven years on and the adorable furry rodent is now a permanent member of the family—she even has her own Instagram account!
Jill is allowed to freely roam around the house, she’s potty-trained, and she even enjoys dressing up in adorable outfits. Her equally adorable Instagram bio reads: “Vegetarian, parkour expert whose only fear is the vacuum. But, she loves every Starbucks napkin she meets.” As of today, the lovable squirrel has over 700,000 adoring followers who are treated to her delightful daily updates. She’s captured playing with her toys, eating snacks, and napping with her favorite miniature teddy bear. She even celebrates her birthday each year!
When she’s not living the pampered lifestyle at home, Jill enjoys traveling. “Jill has come with me on vacation ever since I began caring for her—before she was even a year old,” says her owner. “She is a pro at long drives.” It’s clear to see the mutual love between Jill and her adoptive family—they’re so lucky to have found each other!
