Illustrations Reimagine Keanu Reeves as Every Dashing Disney Prince

It’s impossible not to like Keanu Reeves. The actor has starred in so many iconic films, from action flicks to romantic comedies, all while being the source of some of our most beloved memes. Writer and illustrator Crystal Ro pays homage to Reeves' legendary pop culture status by imagining him in a series of his greatest roles yet—as everyone’s favorite Disney Princes.

Reeves shines as stand-ins for the likes of Cinderella’s Prince Charming, Ariel’s Prince Eric, Aladdin, and the Beast, among others. Each image is both a comment on how the actor is suitable for many, many roles and also just how much better he’d be than the current Princes. According to Ro, he’d be more considerate. Reeves would find Cinderella just to give her back her glass slipper, and he’d use his skills gained from other parts in order to help slay dragons or to educate Snow White on what the Matrix is.

Recent events in Reeves' life inspired Ro to create this series. “Specifically, the fact that he's having an amazing 2019 thanks to John Wick 3, his now-iconic ‘you're breathtaking!’ moment at E3, and of course playing Duke Caboom in Toy Story 4,” she tells My Modern Met. “Plus, with the memes about his ‘hover hand’ going around lately, the internet just loves him. And what else does the internet love? Disney princesses and princes, of course. He's basically the internet's prince!”

Illustrator Crystal Ro has created amusing Disney mashup art that imagines Keanu Reeves stepping into the role of everyone's favorite animated princes.
