Classical Music Photos that Are Out of this World

When I think of classical music, I think of calm, soothing music that people listen to when they want to relax. Boy does Denmark-based Nikolaj Lund think differently! The photographer has a classical music background with a Masters in cello performance. After winning a photography contest hosted by Canon, he says he, “decided to skip the music and go for photography.”

In this series of photographs, Lund portrays musicians with energy and excitement in creatively composed scenes. He takes his subjects out of the typical performance settings, and they hit the streets, rooftops, and even the desert to combine a passion for both music and photography in fun new places. Lund's excitement for music resonates throughout these captivating photographs. I'm completely inspired to turn on and enjoy a little classical music!
