Oreo’s Clever Campaign: The Daily Twist

In what can only be called a stroke of marketing genius, Kraft Foods, the maker of Oreo cookies, launched an awesome marketing campaign this year called the Daily Twist where they took holidays, important weeks, trending events and major news stories and turned them into creative portraits using Oreo cookies. You may have heard something about it back in June, when they kicked off the campaign with multi-layered cookies with rainbow colored creme meant to to evoke a rainbow flag in recognition of LGBT Pride Month.

It was an ambitious undertaking as Oreo wanted to make a big splash to celebrate their 100 years of dunking. For 100 days, multiple agencies and a dedicated team of four designers worked to put out a new “twist” that was not only clever but relevant. Today, we put together some of our favorite Oreo creations from the campaign. From Talk Like a Pirate Day to the Mars Rover landing, look back on our shared history together through Oreos!
