Artist Creates Stunning Mosaic Portraits Inspired by Colorful Patterns From African Culture

Greek visual designer Charis Tsevis is well known for his intricate digital mosaics. Usually in the form of portraits, his mosaic artworks feature a wide range of subjects spanning from popular TV characters and musicians to U.S. presidents and international athletes. Tsevis finds inspiration for his pieces in almost everything, taking striking elements from a vast array of visual imagery and combining them into thematic portraits.

Golden Retriever Returns as Boston Marathon Cheerleader After Surviving Tumor

Whether you’re into jogging or not, no one can deny that running a marathon is incredibly challenging. Luckily, those who run the Boston Marathon have a very special cheerleader to help keep them motivated. Spencer, a 12-year-old Golden Retriever, has been going to the event almost every year, where he shows his support by holding “Boston Strong” flags in his mouth.

Public Art Installation Honors George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and John Lewis in NYC’s Union Square

On October 1, three new statues went up in New York City’s Union Square. The three busts, each crafted from 200 layers of thinly-sliced African Mahogany wood and coated in shimmering bronze, bear the likenesses of Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, and John Lewis. Part of a public art installation called SEEINJUSTICE, the 10-foot-tall statues were crafted by artist Chris Carnabuci in collaboration with Confront Art and its charity partner We Are Floyd Inc.
