Artist Conjures Surreal, Futuristic Worlds Populated By a Lone Astronaut

Over two decades ago, in 1999, Scott Listfield was watching Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey for the first time, tucked inside his small studio apartment in Boston. Up until then, he was living, studying, and traveling abroad for two years, never quite finding a sense of belonging. But the film stirred something within Listfield, prompting him to turn to painting as a way to capture his experiences with adventure, solitude, and awe.

Daniel Arsham and Kohler Bring “Divided Layers” to Palazzo Courtyard During Milan Design Week

In 2022, artist Daniel Arsham and the manufacturer Kohler teamed up to bring his artistic touch to Milan Design Week. His large-scale, immersive installation Divided Layers took over the Palazzo del Senato's courtyard, inviting guests to walk beneath its organic forms. These stacked panels, which form a tunnel, were inspired by the collaboration between Arsham and Kohler, known primarily for its plumbing fixtures and faucets.

Say “Meow” to the Adorable Winners of the 2025 International Pet Photography Awards

With an expanded 2025 edition, the International Pet Photography Awards is showing an even wider range of talent in the world of animal photography. This year's contest had over 4,000 entries from 45 different countries. The competition was fierce, but in the end, photographer Katie Brockman walked away with the title of International Pet Photographer of the Year. An award-winning St. Louis-based photographer, Brockman added the title to her already impressive list of achievements.
