For decades, Airstream trailers have been the vehicle-of-choice for people looking to live off the grid. Though these “silver bullets” are intended as mobile homes, Airstream-owner Shelby Wilson has reimagined this purpose, transforming her own vintage model into a versatile events venue.
Deemed the Stolen Pony Lounge, this 1974 trailer has been given a new lease on life. Once outdated and stained by cigarette smoke, the vehicle now boasts a Northwest-meets-Mid-Century Modern design. Featuring Douglas fir interiors, airy, white accents, and large skylights, the Stolen Pony Lounge looks like it has been plucked from a hipster's dream-come-true.
If renters do want to steer the design in a new direction, however, they are free to personalize it as they please. Whether they opt to pick out a pre-planned look or use their own decorations, the possibilities are endless with this “high-end blank canvas.”
So far, the Stolen Pony Lounge has served a myriad of purposes, from a bridal staging station to a pop-up bar. If you're interested in renting it for your own event, cruise on over to the Stolen Pony Lounge website.
