Sweden’s iconic ICEHOTEL has recently completed a project that will allow it to remain open year-round. Located 125 miles north of the Arctic Circle, the ICEHOTEL has been in operation seasonally since 1989. The hotel is created entirely from snow and ice, and includes 20 guest suites, a bar, and art gallery.
Designers and cooks everywhere will fall instantly in love with these Pantone-inspired dessert tarts by French art director Emilie Guelpa. Combining an interest in foods and colors, Guelpa created these tarts for French food magazine Fricote. The tart base is covered with white icing and the pantone color is formed from various fruits, candies, vegetables, and other vibrant foods.
The artist said, "I am passionate about food! I find the forms, materials or colors on food are a source of inspiration. It’s fascinating to combine the tastes, and textures that can go from solid to liquid in seconds!"
