Inspired by a love of vintage cars, automobile enthusiast Jeep2003 has put a nostalgic spin on a timeless tool. Using unconventional materials, he has custom-built his own retro lawn mower in the style of a cool and classic cruiser.
Like many vintage cars, Jeep2003's DIY lawn mower features pointed, “bullet” tail lights, futuristic contours, whitewall tires, and a matte, mint green coat of paint. Though its authentic-looking body appears to be a genuine—albeit miniature—vehicle, Jeep2003 actually crafted it from an old snowblower's engine and the deck of a worn out smoker grill. With some creativity and a lot of elbow grease, he was able to transform the mundane push mower into a sleek and small “car.”
Jeep2003 documented the progress of his process on Old Mini Bikes, a forum geared toward individuals interested in creating their own miniature motorcycles. If you'd like to find out more about his ambitious project (or even try to build your own classic car lawn mower), be sure to check out the post that started it all.
Spring cleaning has never looked so stylish!

Jeep2003 is not the first to create a retro lawn mower, as seen here. Mark Moriarity is the brains behind this “Atomic Yard Master.”
