Remember Andrew Myers? He's the talented, Laguna Beach, California-based artist who uses thousands of screws to create 3D portraits. It's hard to believe but it's been over a year since we checked in on him. He finished a new piece in December for a client that consisted of 9,800 screws and is currently working on one of his friend and filmmaker Ben Pitts which should be completed soon. These progress photos make us pretty excited to see the final piece! In fact, I love the above photo in and of itself. With a fan on one side, it gives the illusion that pieces of the subject are blowing away!
