Artist Andrea Reed looks to her lips to start a highly unique project. The artist applies makeup to her facial canvas, transforming her own lips into stunningly elaborate works of art. Recently, Reed has even drawn inspiration from and sought to replicate an actual work: Katsushika Hokusai's Great Wave Off Kanagawa. With her makeup palettes and precise brushes before her, Reed is able to paint highly impressive shapes and figures with fine lines upon her lips, which are then shaded in with vibrant colors.
In addition to the inspiring muses she finds through the study of art history, the creative is also compelled to recreate patterns she encounters in nature, and she seems to enjoy coming up with her very own designs, too. To see more of Reed's makeup skills for yourself, you can follow her on Instagram or tune in to her YouTube channel.
