Romantic Couple Recreates Their "Spontaneous" Kiss All Around the World

When Los Angeles-based photographers Kendrick Brinson and David Walter Banks saw a photo that their friend had snapped of Banks dramatically sweeping Brinson off her feet in a spontaneous kiss, the image stuck with the couple and soon became their way of documenting their life together. Since 2010, the lovebirds have set a self-timer and struck the same romantic pose in various locations around the world, from Puerto Rico to Mexico to across the United States.

Brinson and Banks first met in a photojournalism class at the University of Georgia, but they didn't fall in love until they reconnected after graduating. After hitting it off online, they pursued a long-distance relationship, and finally married in 2012. Now they own their own commercial photography business, Brinson + Banks, which allows them to work with each other in perfect harmony and teamwork.

For the duo, their vibrant shots hold precious memories of their time together. “[The photos represent] places we love, milestones in our life, chronicling us as we age,” Brinson told CNN. “We have so many pictures of each other, but never photos of us together.” Now, not only do they have a whole collection of romantic photos together, but they also get to see the photos that others share with them through the tag #Brinsonbansking on social media. “We're very much into being in love and exploring,” said Banks. “It's been a treat to watch other people along the way.”
