Aiming to create “lasting memories of [life's] most cherished moments,” London-based photographer Sujata Setia specializes in family photography with a furry twist. In a series of newborn photos, Setia pairs snoozing infants with baby animals, capturing the adorable bond between the too-cute twosomes.
Like typical newborn photos, each precious picture features a baby peacefully sleeping in a cozy cradle or tiny bed. What sets Setia's images apart, however, is the addition of puppies, kittens, ducklings, and other young animals. As they snuggle the tiny creatures, the newborns sleepily smile, conveying a sense of calm and culminating in unique photos that the parents will cherish forever.
Setia's decision to add animals to her photos was inspired by her own beloved dog, Mustang. During shoots, parents would often ask to incorporate the loving bulldog into the photographs. Though Mustang has since passed away, Setia has decided to continue this meaningful tradition with other animals, allowing new parents to appreciate the bonds between the babies and keeping Mustang's legacy alive.
