Animated GIF Movie Posters Bring Iconic Films to Life

Throughout the history of film, there have been some incredible and iconic movie posters that capture the essence of what a production is about. But, what if they could be made even better? Imgur user Ashortername posted two collections of animated GIF posters that bring films to life. The wide-ranging selection features some classics (like Psycho) and new favorites (like The Hunger Games) that are updated with short action sequences, blood-curdling screams, and roaring flames.

The once-static posters are instantly more engaging and intriguing thanks to these animated additions. If you've seen the film, then you're reminded of its iconic moments. But, if you haven't watched the movie, your interest is probably piqued. As characters draw their weapons, stare wistfully among debris, and gasp in horror, there's one thing that's clear: we want to see more!
