Jessica Stewart is a Staff Editor and Digital Media Specialist for My Modern Met, as well as a curator and art historian. Since 2020, she is also one of the co-hosts of the My Modern Met Top Artist Podcast. She earned her MA in Renaissance Studies from University College London and now lives in Rome, Italy. She cultivated expertise in street art which led to the purchase of her photographic archive by the Treccani Italian Encyclopedia in 2014. When she’s not spending time with her three dogs, she also manages the studio of a successful street artist. In 2013, she authored the book "Street Art Stories Roma" and most recently contributed to "Crossroads: A Glimpse Into the Life of Alice Pasquini." Photographer Captures Proud Lion Standing Triumphantly on a Hill of Bones

LA-based photographer Simon Needham was spending time at the GG Conservation in South Africa when he came upon a spectacular sight. Atop a mound of bones, an enormous lion stood proudly, surveying his land. The atmospheric sky that surrounded him enhanced the ambiance, as the golden light mirrored the animal's golden fur. It was the perfect photo. Needham, who often works with non-profits, was in South Africa to help the sanctuary with their promotional content.

Dual Photos Show the ISS and the Chinese Space Station Transiting the Sun

Using a solar telescope and a hydrogen filter, Chinese astrophotographer Wang Letian was able to capture some incredible frames of the Sun. But these are no ordinary images. In fact, the pair shows the solar transits of two space stations—the International Space Station and China's new Tiangong Space Station. Seen in silhouette, the space stations appear as small specks next to the enormous Sun.

Gorgeous Photos Capture a Stormy Sunset Over North Carolina’s Outer Banks

By day, George Wang is the Chief Technology Officer of an engineering consulting firm; but, his love for technology—including DSLR cameras and drones—has guided his photography hobby. So when he found himself in North Carolina's Outer Banks, he couldn't help but use his favorite gadgets to capture the picturesque scenery. Flying his drone high over beaches where wild horses roam free, he was able to capture an incredible image of storm clouds and the sunset.
