Immersive Sculptural Installation Explores the Relationship Between Color and Light

British artist Liz West creates imaginative installations that explore the relationship between two fundamental themes in art: color and light. Her newest piece is an immersive sculptural work located at the Carany Wharf in London. Entitled Hymn to the Big Wheel, this outdoor installation invites the public inside its octagonal walls to see the numerous ways natural light can mix with the colors of the rainbow.

Endearing Illustrations of Solitary Robots Invite You To Finish Their Story

While we may be many years away from interacting with humanoid robots in real life, creators continue to imagine what they can look like. UK-based artist Matt Dixon digitally paints endearing robot characters living in a human-less world in an ongoing series of illustrations called Transmissions. Each of these digital paintings stars a mechanical figure made up of rusted or beat-up parts with large oval holes in its head in place of eyes.

Enchanting ‘Lady in the Water’ Jewelry Designed With Creatively Carved Agate Cameos

Jewelry artist Andrew James Nagel—better known as Valk 9—creates intricate wire-wrapped necklaces, bracelets, and rings using silver and precious stones. He masterfully transforms the metal material into fluid organic-shaped forms that ethereally clasp around gems. One of his latest pieces entitled Lady in the Water, features an arrangement of tanzanite, imperial garnet, a freshwater pearl, and a black agate cameo enveloped in swirling layers of sterling silver.
