Spend the Night in BIG’s Cozy Cabin Wrapped with 350 Birdhouses

Bird lovers will want to flock to a new room designed for Sweden's Treehotel. Designed by Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) in collaboration with ornithologist Ulf Öhman, Biosphere is a suspended room surrounded by 350 birdhouses. Nestled into the treetops, it will strengthen the natural environment by increasing the bird population and give visitors a special connection with these feathered friends. The room, which is Treehotel's eighth, opens in May and features a bold, experimental design.

Robert De Niro Helped Develop the World’s First “Vertical Film Studio” To Be Built in Queens

Say hello to the “first vertical film studio in the world.” Bjarke Ingels Group, or BIG, will soon begin construction on the 760,000 square-foot film studio in Queens. New York developer Wildflower Ltd. worked with actor Robert De Niro, his son Raphael De Niro (who works as a real estate broker), and Jane Rosenthal, a film producer, to develop the $600 million project.

Monumental Home in Brazil Is All About Appreciating Extraordinary Views

The contemporary residential project called Xingu House is all about appreciating an extraordinary view. Brazilian architecture firm Tetro Arquitetura designed the home to nestle into the landscape of Nova Lima, a mining city in Minas Gerais, Brazil. Xingu House overlooks a dense forest, grassy plateaus, and the mountains of the area. The main form of the home includes a central vertical circulation core.
